The Dyneema® sleeve added by our riggers at the top end of the rope, protects the rope where it needs it the most: through the masthead sheaves. You can also change this extra sleeve when worn out, without having to replace the entire rope. The eye splice retains almost the entire breaking load of the rope as opposed to knots, which can reduce the strength of the rope by up to 50%.The stitching blocks the splice and prevents it from opening when not under load.
