Description
The cover of the FSE Robline Newport ecological rope is made of polylactic acid (APL), an innovative biomaterial derived from corn. There is no natural degradation for this rope. Only a suitable industrial process enables recycling or even 100% degradation. It has the same physico-chemical properties as conventional plastic: no risk of it dissolving in water or melting in the sun! Although it is ecological, this dock line provides equivalent resistance to oil-derived fibres and is lighter than polyamide dock lines. They are easier to handle, especially as they are soft to the touch.
