With the Héolia rope, Lancelin offer the most resistant halyard available on the market: An indestructible cover made of Dyneema®, Technora® and Polyester, that protects the 12-plait heat-stretched Dyneema SK99 coated core for minimal elongation. You won’t change them too soon: your halyards will outlive you!Breaking load for 6 mm: 3 tons!
We recommend this rope for your halyards. Some points to guide you:
To estimate the breaking load of your halyard (in kg):- Genoa surface x 80
– Main sail surface x 100
– Spinnaker surface x 30
For length:
– Genoa = Mast length x 3
– Spinnaker = Mast length x 3
– Main = Mast length x 2.5
