What is UHMWPE:

UHMWPE stands for Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. This pretty name designates the “generic” version of Dyneema®. Like Kleenex, Scotch or Frigos, Dyneema is a trade name, much sexier than ” high-modulus polyethylene “, the petroleum-based fiber it refers to.
