Description

5 m. long mooring line with splice and stainless steel thimble to be attached directly to a mooring buoy or a catway. A spliced mooring line with stainless steel thimble.

Particularly supple and lightweight, our polyamide and polyester mooring line for all types of boats (sail, motor…) perfectly meets the requirements of this important manoeuvre: safety, lifespan and shock absorption.

Due to its high quality construction (polyester cover and polyamide core) our dockline offers good resistance. toabrasion in the cleats and fairleads while absorbing shocks due to the movements of the boat (elasticity thanks to the elongation properties of the polyamide fibre).

Finally, its low weight, even when wet, provides extra comfort when docking.

Composition:
Fibres:
  • Polyamide: high elongationat break. (from 15 to 20%). Its high elasticity makes it particularly suitable for mooring, as its fibres protect the cleats by absorbing shocks. A polyamide dock line, on the other hand, is quite heavy to handle because it is is very compact and absorbs water.
  • Cover polyester fibre : The most important quality of polyester is its lifespan: High resistance to UVs, as well as to chafing. This characteristic makes it the fibre which are then braided: nearly all the covers on the market are either made of or contain polyester. Excellent value for money /li>
