UHMWPE single coated braid with excellent abrasion resistance and very low elongation at break
UHMWPE, what is this?
UHMWPE means “Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene”, “Polyéthylène haut module” in French. This pretty name designates the “generic” version of Dyneema®. Like Kleenex, Scotch or Frigos, Dyneema is a trade name, a nice name more sexy than « high modulus polyethylene », la fibre which are then braided.
