Description

Technora® overgrip reduces Rope wear and ensures good grip in blockers. Technora® has excellent heat resistance (450°) andabrasion resistance: it resists friction around the winch during a sudden shock.

Its high coefficient of friction means that the fibers grip to prevent slipping in the blockers.

Technora ® sheathing is made from aramid fibres aramid fibers known for their excellent heat resistance (up to 450°C). Aramid fibers also have a high coefficient of friction, i.e. they are not very slippery: the fibers “grip” the surface against which they rub. Technora ®’s resistance to overheating and high coefficient of friction make it particularly suitable for winch overgrips on sailboats. A sudden jerk of the genoasheet causes the Rope to overheat and melt! Thanks to its high coefficient of friction, Technora ® overbraiding has a further advantage: the end does not slip around the winch. This is another reason why Technora ® overgrips are used on blockers.

Aramid fibers have limited longevity due to their poor UV resistance.

Composition: 100% Technora® 24 spindles (for diameter 06 mm) – 32 spindles (for other diameters)
