Genuine all-purpose Ropes with excellent value for money:

  • HMPE core 12 spindles
  • 24-spool polyester sheath

Description

This Rope features a 12-spindle HMPE fiber core for high tensile strength and low elongation. The braided polyester sheath offers excellent UV and abrasion resistance.

Advantages:

Easily spliced braid, particularly recommended for sheets and halyards, especially for flat sails (genoa, jib, mainsail).

Its polyester sheath provides good abrasion and UV resistance.

Excellent stiffness/price ratio for heavy-duty maneuvering.

We recommend this low-stretch Dyneema core Rope with polyester sheath for your halyards, sheets, topping lift, vang…

How to choose the right diameter :

First of all, think about the diameter accepted by your rope clamps. Without an overgrip, the minimum diameter recommended for a conventional rope clamp may slip once under tension.

We recommend that you apply a Technora polyester sheath to your Rope where it passes through the blockers. It increases grip to prevent slippage and extends the life of your Rope by protecting it fromabrasion by the blocker.

What is HMPE:

HMPE literally stands for “Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene”. This pretty name designates the “generic” version of Dyneema®. Like Kleenex, Scotch or Frigos, Dyneema is a trade name, much sexier than ” high-modulus polyethylene “, the petroleum-based fiber it refers to.

Technical specifications :

  • HMPE core 12 spindles
  • 24-spool polyester sheath

To make a splice, you need to use the spliced eye technique on double Dyneema core braid. Follow this link for a tutorial .
