The Orbit automatic ratchet block enables to hold ropes under load by hand It has a holding capacity of up to 14:1 : 1.  With the automatic model, the ratchet mechanism engages when the load is applied, but disengages when the load is taken off. This allows the sheet to run smoothly and freely, which is ideal for a quick ease of the sail.

This block is ideal for use with mainsail sheeting systems and fine tuning systems as well as for asymmetric spinnaker sheets.
