The Orbit automatic/manual ratchet block enables to hold or tune ropes under load by hand It has a holding capacity of up to 20:1 : 1. With the automatic model, the ratchet mechanism engages when the load is applied, but disengages when the load is taken off. This allows the sheet to be run smoothly and freely, which is ideal when easing the sheet quickly.
This block is ideal for use with mainsail sheeting systems and fine tuning systems as well as for asymmetric spinnaker sheets aasymmetrical spinnaker.
