I-Bone – DogBone for textile attachment system

The I-Bone is a “dog bone” type of textile attachment, known as a t-bone or dog bone overseas. The I-Bone replaces the textile shackle or snap shackle for connecting mainsail and halyard. The advantages of the dog bone are the system’s reliability. It withstands heavier loads than the textile shackle or halyard snap shackle, and is quicker to install. The I-Bone offers several advantages:

Strength: I-Bone’s inverted geometry (thick in the middle, thin at the ends) makes it stronger than competing dog bones. Its high-grade aluminum is also a guarantee of strength.
Lightweight: thanks to its special geometry, the Ino-Rope dog bone is the lightest on the market.
Compact: I-Bone is narrower than conventional dog bones. Its ends don’t protrude, so they’re not exposed to shocks. Another point: for the same reasons, the I-bone does not damage the bridge.
Durability: the I-Bone is made from corrosion-resistant anodized marine aluminum.
Safety: the dog bone is pierced to allow it to be secured with a seam.
